The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum is a national institution in Washington, DC dedicated to documenting, studying, and interpreting the history of the Holocaust and serves as the United States’ official memorial to the millions of Jews and others killed during the Holocaust.
The museum has many family and youth programs. Free timed passes are necessary for visiting the "Permanent Exhibition," the museum’s main exhibition which presents a history of the Holocaust with artifacts, photographs, films, oral histories, and filmed eyewitness testimonies. These passes can be obtained at the museum on the day of your visit on a first–come first–served basis. No passes are necessary for entering the Museum building, special exhibitions, the interactive Wexner Learning Center, and other Museum resources.
