- Tell them you are a convicted felon.

- When asked questions such as "Do you think...," "How do you feel...," reply the same thing, "Kill them." I’ve heard of someone who has been excused from jury duty for 15 years.

- Stand up, look over at the defendant, and say confidently, "He looks guilty."

- Tell them you are friends/family with a lawyer and have some understanding of the law. They don’t like jurors that understand the law.

- Mention "jury nullification" during the screening process. This is the legal concept that a jury can find a defendant NOT GUILTY if they believe that the law they are being accused of is unjust. Judges and prosecutors HATE the concept because it give juries actual power. See http://www.fija.org/ for more information.
